Our Vision

Our Vision emerges from our understanding of Jesus. We seek to be a church...

• Which is full of the love of God and which finds meaningful ways of worshiping him.

• Which, through faith, makes Jesus Christ the centre of all aspects of our lives.

• Which is open to the guidance and work of the Holy Spirit.

• Which is built upon the witness of the Scriptures.

• Which acknowledges the many years of Christian witness and experience, including our own Methodist inheritance.

• Which is welcoming, open and inclusive, to which all may feel they belong.

• Which seeks to be relevant to our life and work and to the wider issues of society.

• Which obeys Christ's call to make disciples.

• Which works closely with other churches.

• Which builds relationships with people outside the church.

• Which is a focal point of the local community.

• Which invites people to join us on the journey of faith.

• Which helps everyone to grow in the joy and peace of being a disciple of Jesus.
  
  This vision is the responsibility of the whole of the people of God.
